“A lovely, stubbornly idiosyncratic fable of aspiration and survival.” - The New Yorker

Babe is a modern Australian classic that was produced and co-written by George Miller of Mad Max and Happy Feet fame. With an all-star cast voicing the farm animals, Babe tells the story of a little piglet who has to use all his cunning in order to stay in the farmyard and off the plate. However, one day the little pig discovers he has a remarkable gift that might help his master win a big sheepherding competition. But will it do?

Babe is a little pig who doesn't quite know his place in the world. With a bunch of odd friends, like Ferdinand the duck who thinks he is a rooster and Fly the dog he calls mum, Babe realises that he has the makings to become the greatest sheep pig of all time, and Farmer Hogget knows it. With the help of the sheep dogs, Babe learns that a pig can be anything that he wants to be.

Babe captured hearts and minds when it was originally released in 1995.
