‘More magical than the original … filled with wonders large and small: little gags at the side of the frame and big laughs in the centre’ — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

To mark the 25th anniversary of Babe: Pig in the City, CHIFF presents a special screening of this sequel to the 1995 Australian hit film Babe

Set just a few weeks after the events of the original film, Babe: Pig in the City sees everybody’s favourite sheep-herding pig travelling to the city of Metropolis. However, once in the sprawling big smoke Babe is separated from his human companion Esme (Magda Szubanski) and teams up with the animal residents of a hotel who are being illegally rounded up by animal control officers.

Divisive on release for being a different type of film than expected, the reputation of Babe: Pig in the City has grown over the years and has a fan base that includes the late film critic Roger Ebert and musician Tom Waits!
