Legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans was one of the greats, playing with Miles Davis and Chet Baker (he can be heard on Davis’s Kind of Blue, the best-selling jazz album of all time, and on Baker’s Chet).
Bill Evan’s also led his own trio, released a string of classic jazz albums (Explorations, Live at the Village Vanguard, At the Montreux Jazz Festival, and many more), and during his career the pianist collaborated with Tony Bennett, amongst others.
In Bill Evans Time Remembered director Spiegel paints a fascinating portrait of Evans’ life, inside and outside music, combining archive footage with interviews with musical collaborators, family and friends. A true joy for fans of jazz. “The insight and passion is remarkable, offering a tremendous experience for audiences looking to time travel into this bygone era of transformative music and transcendental culture.” – UK Film Review
