The Story

The moving story of how a small band of Jewish poets and writers saved priceless collections of Jewish books and manuscripts from destruction during the Nazi occupation of Lithuania, and then again during the Sovietisation of the Baltic states. Includes rare archive interviews in Yiddish with members of the Paper Brigade, including Avrom Sutzkever, Shmerke Kaczerginski and Avram Zeleznikow.
